Reading Groups

The heart of Litsam is reader involvement in books as they grow from manuscripts to polished products. Groups provide a way to give feedback to authors and engage in dialogue with others about books in progress. Most book groups are by invitation only, to provide some control over the process to authors. While some authors will accept any request, many want to see how you interact with others before inviting you to join. For this reason we encourage you to participate in some of the public forums.

Public Groups

Several groups exist for open discussion of practically any book related topic. (And we’re happy to open new groups if there is enough interest!) These groups are a great way to explore books that have already been published, get to know other readers, and establish a site presence so that authors will be more confident about approving your request to join a specific book blog.

Rights

By participating in Litsam you approve the use of your contributions without compensation. While authors generally credit contributors in the back of the book, readers agree that this is a good will gesture, and failure to do so intentionally or inadvertently does not entitle the reader to any compensation. You further agree that the author may use excerpts of your comments, reviews, and other contributions for promotional purposes without further compensation.
