It is responsible for the transition of e-books from a somewhat unknown geek commodity to a commercially viable mass-market product, and it continues to dominate sales in most markets. The world’s largest bookseller, Amazon is synonymous with online book purchases to many, and this seems to have translated into spectacular Kindle product sales.
